The Taylor Consulting Group, LLC has experienced Massage Licensing Specialists to assist you with your licensing needs. The process for getting a Massage Therapist License in the State of Nevada is the same throughout the State.  The two most important things needed are:

  • Have completed course of a minimum 500 hours of schooling.
  • Pass a written exam that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), or its successor.  This is also known as the National Exam, NCETMB, NCETM or the NESL.

If you are a new applicant who has never been licensed anywhere in the United States or in Nevada, a background check is required through the Nevada Department of Public Safety office.  This process can take four to six months, regardless if you are a new licensee or if you are transferring from another state.

If the results of your background check are favorable and your application is filled out completely, the Chairman of the Board of Massage will approve your application within four to six months from the date you submit your application.

Note:  Effective June 11, 2010, if you have received your schooling from Select Therapy Institute located at:  2209 San Gabriel Blvd., Suite C, Rosemead, CA  91770, your application can be denied by administrative staff of the Board.
